 Proudly South African Loyalty Card

 

AIM

  • to raise funds for Proudly South African
  • to launch a programme which will help influence consumer behaviour
  • the loyalty/rewards programme is required to have a reward component.
 

PURPOSE

  • The aim is to reward consumers with “money being paid back to them” when purchasing Proudly South African member products/services.
  • The more the consumers purchase Proudly South African products/services the more money they will save
  • This system will be used as recognition of Proudly South African purchases made by the specific customer
  • To empower consumers to be socially responsible
  • To promote a culture of appreciation for buying locally produced products and services
 

OBJECTIVE(S)

  • Increase level of awareness of Proudly South African companies by at least 2% from current levels
  • Increase uptake (buy local) by at least 3 - 5% per annum (from the current benchmark of 30%)
  • Prepare companies’ (at least two per year) products for the export market
  • Create awareness that local consumption has the power to build a strong brand - increase by at least 3% per annum
 

BENEFITS

  • Consumers are rewarded for buying local;
  • Proudly South African members’ sales will increase;
  • Information relating to customers can be obtained, and can be shared amongst Proudly South African merchants,
  • The loyalty programme can be used to reinforce the Proudly South African brand, as a method of generating revenue,
  • To help Proudly South African achieve its objective of improving the purchasing of locally made products, thus contributing to economic growth and creating new jobs and sustaining existing jobs.

For a loyalty/rewards programme to be successful, Proudly South African will have to conclude partnerships with, amongst others:

  • Large institutions;
  • Retailers;
  • SMMEs
