BACKGROUND

  • Youth - an impressionable market, receptive to Proudly South African messages
  • Youth = SA’s hope for the future – require skills
  • Youth - considerable spending power – consumables
  • Youth need to cultivate confidence & pride in their own abilities
  • Youth can be a catalyst for renewed national pride and patriotism
 

PURPOSE

  • To ensure that South African youth take pride in their own abilities, develop social leadership, creative, business and entrepreneurial skills
  • To empower young people to become socially responsible citizens, based on a value system that thrives on mutual respect, innovation and creativity
  • To promote a culture of appreciation for and buying of locally produced products and serviced
 

OBJECTIVE(S)

  • Greater awareness of Proudly South African products & services - increase by at least 3%
  • Development of entrepreneurial and leadership skills through information dissemination, innovative competition
  • Influence the youth’s purchase decisions to actively seek out Proudly South African products and services
  • Educate youth about the impact of their purchase decisions – job retention and creation, prosperity
  • Create awareness that local consumption has the power to build a strong brand - increase by at least 3% per annum
